Rules & Regulations

The following rules were established to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance, with a “Good Neighbor Policy” in mind. Since every contingency cannot be covered in a set of rules, from time to time, modification may be necessary.

Your compliance is very much appreciated and will ensure a pleasant stay for all guests.

Recreational Vehicles

  • Each site is limited to one (1) RV and 2 vehicles and a golf cart. All vehicles must be contained within the designated parking area and not encroach the grass or the roadway.

  • The RV must be well maintained and in excellent overall condition. It must be kept clean and free of mold and mildew. No tarps or duct tape is allowed.

  • All RVs must maintain up-to-date vehicle registration and be road-worthy.

    Commercially made wheel covers are allowed. No storage is allowed under the RV.

  • You may have your car and/or RV washed by an outside mobile washing service. The office can provide the name of mobile washing services.




Personal Vehicles

  • Vehicles must be well maintained (no oil leaks) and operate in a safe manner. The speed limit in the park is 10 MPH (miles per hour).

  • No repairs or maintenance may be done in the park, except by approved park mobile services. Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles are not permitted in the park.

  • Vehicles are to be parked only in the space provided at your reserved site. This is limited to two vehicles and one golf cart. The common areas are not for parking. Please contact management for additional parking arrangements for additional vehicles or trailers.

  • Never park in an empty site or on the street.

  • Drive only on the roadways and never through an empty site.

  • All vehicular noise is to be kept to a minimum. Please be
    mindful of your neighbors when warming your diesel engines — they can be very loud.

  • Recreational use of motorized bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, or ORV’s within the park is not permitted. ATVs or ROV’s are welcome but must be trailered to the beach as per county regulations.

  • All vehicles including golf carts may ONLY be driven by those with a valid driver’s license.

Sites

  • Our park staff works hard to keep sites clean and free of debris.

  • Please help by avoiding clutter and eyesores such as boxes, tools, wood, empty flower pots, etc.
    • Only furniture and items intended for outside use are allowed
    • The following are NOT allowed on sites (including under the RV)
    ◦ No clotheslines or hanging laundry.
    ◦ No appliances outside the RV.
    ◦ Open storage containers. (Plastic storage containers are permitted under your rig if kept orderly.)

  • No concrete blocks to form structures or brace awnings. Gas or charcoal barbecues may be used for outdoor cooking on site.

  • Please dispose of cooled ashes in a SEALED bag in a dumpster. Do not dispose of ashes on the ground. During times of extreme FIRE DANGER, fire pits and charcoal grills will not be allowed.

  • Please confirm with the office prior to arrival.

  • Fire Pits are for firewood ONLY. Do not throw trash, cans, bottle lids, or anything that is NOT firewood in the fire pit.

  • All fires in the fire pit or charcoal grills must be extinguished and NOT left unattended.

  • No walking through any site other than your rented site whether occupied or vacant.

  • Alcohol consumption is allowed at your site only.

  • Excessive public intoxication will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate expulsion.

Pets

  • Pets must always be on a leash and with the owner when outdoors. Pets cannot be tied outside and left unattended.

  • All vaccinations must be up to date.

  • Temporary fences are allowed but pets are to be attended at all times. You may not leave your pet unattended in a pen

  • Guests must pick up after their pets. Please make sure the bag is securely sealed and placed in the trash disposals located in the front entrance of the park.

Visitors

  • Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times

  • Sites are limited to two adults and minor children from the same household.

  • Additional overnight guests must register at the office and are subject to a $5.00 fee per person per night. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by the guest AT ALL TIMES while in the park.

Emergency and Safety

  • If you need to call 911, and time allows, please call the office so the maintenance staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.

  • If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call (409) 655-7735 24 hours a day. (No soliciting is allowed.)

  • Emergency Contact Information forms are required from all monthly guests. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personal information out to others.

Cancellation

  • Full refund if cancellation prior to 14 days

  • No refund after 14 days of your reservation arrival

  • NO REFUNDS for Holiday or special event weekends

  • Camping is an outdoor sport and therefore at the mercy of Mother Nature. Refunds will be issued based on the above policy unless there is a MANDATORY evacuation for Bolivar Peninsula and then a full refund may be issued.

Miscellaneous

  • All extended stay guests must have a current contact number, email, and mailing address on file in the office.

  • Your site must be left in the same condition as when you arrived. ALL trash, cigarette butts, bottle caps, pet feces, and any other debris must be collected and properly disposed of in a sealed trash bag and placed in the trash receptacles provided. Any chalk drawing on the pad must be removed prior to departure. A $100 fee will be charged to the credit card on file if any cleanup is required.



General Info

  • Check-In: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Please call (409) 655-7735 if you will be arriving after 5:00 pm.

  • Check-Out: 11:00 am

  • Quiet Time/lights out: 10:00 pm until 8:00 am. My Happy Place RV Camp is designed to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Therefore no front cap lights, spotlights, or excessive illumination is allowed from 10 pm to 8 am.

  • Lights under the RV are allowed providing they are muted or a soft tone (no bright white LED) Flash Lights are a recommended personal source of lighting if needed for after-dark activities such as dog walking.

  • PLEASE feel free to access the beach for continuing any activities that may result in unintended noise after 10 pm.

  • The park is intended for the enjoyment of all guests. Excessive noise at any time of day will not be tolerated. Please enjoy your music, TV, and activities but at a volume that does not inhibit your neighbor from doing the same.

  • The park is not responsible for damages of any kind

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone

  • By law, My Happy Place RV Camp is a service-oriented business and therefore we do not have a tenant/landlord relationship with any daily/weekly or extended stay guests.

  • My Happy Place RV Camp is not a full-time residence. It is for vacationing and seasonal guests only.

  • Park privileges will be immediately revoked and no refund issued upon the third infraction of the rules.
